Youth Empowerment

The purpose of the CIA youth empowerment programs is to address the current unhealthy behaviors seen in youths in Ibusa and surrounding local communities as well as Ibusa youths in the UK.
The quest for money is at an all time high mainly driven by the social media and of course the rising costs of living .
We aim to provide opportunities to learn skills and gain experiences that contribute to more positive lifestyles and improve the youths capacity to make healthier life choices

Through relevant programmes, CIA will put in place a platform where children and young people are encouraged to take charge of their lives. They do this by reflecting upon their current general situation and with support , hopefully will take action in order to improve their access to resources, skills and positive values.

Youth Empowerment

Empowering Young People. Building Brighter Futures. Strengthening Our Community.

Young people are one of the greatest assets of any community. With the right opportunities, guidance, education and support, young people can develop the confidence, skills and values they need to build successful lives and make meaningful contributions to society.

At Congress 4 Ibusa Advancement (C4IA), youth empowerment is an important part of our commitment to the advancement of Ibusa and its people. We recognise the challenges many young people face today, including unemployment, limited access to opportunities, financial pressures, negative social influences and uncertainty about the future. Our goal is to help young people navigate these challenges and discover positive pathways towards personal and professional development.

Creating Opportunities for Young People

Our youth empowerment initiatives are designed to encourage young people to take greater responsibility for their future by providing access to opportunities that can improve their skills, knowledge, confidence and employability.

We believe empowerment goes beyond financial assistance. It is about equipping young people with the tools, knowledge and support they need to become independent, productive and responsible members of society.

Through appropriate programmes and partnerships, C4IA seeks to promote:

  • Skills development and vocational training

  • Career guidance and mentoring

  • Education and academic development

  • Entrepreneurship and self-reliance

  • Personal development and confidence building

  • Positive values and responsible decision-making

  • Access to opportunities and useful resources

  • Community participation and leadership

Encouraging Positive Choices

Young people today are exposed to enormous social and economic pressures. The influence of social media, the desire for quick financial success and the rising cost of living can sometimes encourage unhealthy or unsustainable choices.

C4IA seeks to provide a positive alternative by creating platforms where young people can learn, reflect on their circumstances and identify constructive ways to improve their lives. Our programmes encourage young people to develop positive values, make healthier choices and understand that lasting success is often built through education, discipline, skills and perseverance.

Education as a Foundation for Empowerment

Education remains one of the strongest tools for transforming lives. This is why our youth empowerment efforts complement our educational initiatives, including our scholarship programme, which recognises and encourages academic excellence among students in the Ibusa and Oshimili-North communities.

By supporting education and encouraging young people to invest in themselves, we hope to help create a generation that is better prepared to pursue further education, employment, entrepreneurship and leadership opportunities.

Mentoring the Next Generation

Sometimes, what a young person needs most is someone who believes in them and provides the right guidance.

Our career mentoring initiative seeks to connect selected young people with mentors who can provide encouragement, experience and practical guidance as they navigate their personal and professional journeys. Through sustained mentorship, young people can gain a clearer understanding of their strengths, interests and career possibilities.

We believe that today’s successful young people can become tomorrow’s mentors, role models and community leaders.

Building Self-Reliant Young People

Our vision is to see young people develop the confidence and capabilities to create opportunities for themselves and others.

Whether through education, vocational skills, entrepreneurship, career development or mentorship, we want young people to move from dependency towards greater self-reliance. This also aligns with C4IA’s broader objective of supporting education, training, trade skills and apprenticeships that can help individuals develop sustainable livelihoods.

A Shared Responsibility

Youth empowerment is not the responsibility of one organisation alone. Families, schools, community leaders, businesses, government institutions, professionals and individuals all have a role to play.

C4IA welcomes partnerships with individuals, organisations and community stakeholders who share our belief in the potential of young people.

Together, we can provide the encouragement, opportunities and support young people need to discover their potential and become positive contributors to their families, communities and society.

Our Vision

A generation of educated, skilled, confident and responsible young people who are equipped to build better lives, create opportunities and contribute positively to the future of Ibusa and beyond.
